What is a Home Warranty?

A Home Warranty is a separate form of coverage for the basic systems and appliances for your home in
addition to a homeowners insurance policy and manufacturers warranty.

How long will my warranty last?
|
|
Your warranty coverage will be dependant upon the term selected during the application process. There are three options to choose from: 6 months, 14 months, and 18 months.

May I renew my coverage once it has expired?
|
|
Yes! You will be given a 30 day renewal period at which time you can renew your warranty.
|
|
How do I use my warranty?
|
|
If you have a circumstance that requires you to use your warranty, you MUST first call to report the claim at 1-800-796-1054 and a representative will guide you through the process of assessing and handling your claim.

|
If I call a contractor and send Guardian the bill, will I be reimbursed?
|
|
NO! GRW will not be responsible if the claim is not first reported.
|
|
Is there a waiting or probationary period before I can file a claim?
|
|
No, your coverage goes into effect on the date that payment is received in full.
|
|
What is "basic" coverage?
|
|
Basic coverage on a home under 5,000 square feet is the homes heating, plumbing, and electrical systems, water heater, major appliances such as a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher.

Are there additional options that I can add to my warranty?

Yes, you can customize your warranty based upon additional features that your home may have such as a swimming pool or additional furnace or cooling system.
